Starlight Children's Foundation Australia

Since being formed as an Australian children’s charity in 1988, Starlight has brightened the lives of seriously ill and hospitalised children, and their families, throughout Australia. Starlight programs are delivered both in and out of hospital, providing positive distraction to children in their time of need.

Every semester, the CPCA donates $1 from every programme sold at our performance seasons to the Starlight Foundation. Together with the support of our members, we are able to raise approximately $5,000 each year for this worthy cause. The Lilly Robyn Foundation

The Lilly Robyn Foundation (an Ancillary Trust Fund) was set up to raise money to distribute to organisations already doing great work providing support, undertaking research and promoting awareness of Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA Type 1). Lilly Robyn Conlan was born on August 20th 2008. At six weeks old, Lilly was diagnosed with SMA. Sadly, Lilly passed away at six months of age.

SMA is a degenerative disease that affects 1 in 6,000 babies. There is currently no cure for SMA, it is always fatal and most children die before their first birthday. SMA is a genetic disease with 1 in 30 people carrying the SMA causing gene. SMA is the #1 genetic killer of children under the age of two.

Australia's Biggest Morning Tea

Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea is one of Cancer Council’s leading fundraising events and the largest, most successful event of its kind in Australia. Over $70 million has been raised since it first began in 1994. The concept is simple, host a morning tea for your friends or workmates and raise funds to help the fight against cancer. The official date is Thursday 27 May, but you can host an event any time during the month of May. Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea is easy to organise, fun and completely flexible to suit your environment. By taking part you can help Cancer Council support the 1 in 2 Australians who will be diagnosed with cancer before the age of 85.

CPCA is a proud participant of Australia's Biggest Morning Tea. To find out how your work can get involved, click on hte image below.
