Children's Performing Company of Australia
Developing young people through the performing arts

Our Programmes

SInce 1984 the Chidlren's Performing Company of Australia has been providing young people with amazing opportunities through the performing arts. Through a fiendly, supportive environment and a dedicated team of professionals, we develop the performer's natural abilities and foster a lifelong love of learning and creativity.

Song, Dance & Drama for 5 - 7 Year Olds

Nothing can match the fun of singing, dancing and acting. And the best thing is - it's good for you. Studies have shown that creative play helps foster confidence, creativity and social and personal development. Our 5 - 7 year old programme, Beginners OnStage, supports children as they discover a new world of performing and creativity.

Acting & Drama for 8 - 18 Year Olds

Shakespeare's words "All the world's a stage" are a reminder that we are always o stage, playing many parts as we continue to learn and grow - we all act all the time! Our Acting & Drama programme, the Victorian Youth Theatre, is designed to harness your natural acting skills. The programme helps students develop and improve stagecraft skills such as improvisation, characterisation, voice projection and physicality.

Musical Theatre (Song, Dance and Drama) for 8 - 18 Year Olds

Singing and dancing along to a favourite song is such a natural thing to do! Our musical theatre programme, the Young Australian Broadway Chorus, helps students unlock the confidence to share natural performing skills with the world. Through weekly rehearsals with professional musical directors, choreographers and directors, we encourage students to extend themselves, gain new skills and progress through the company.

Professional Representation for Members

All members of the Children's Performing Company of Australia are eligible to join our agency, the Talent Company of Australia. We provide agency members with exciting opportunities to work with professional casting directors and working actors. Agency representation allows members to be submitted and considered for a diverse range of professional acting work.
