History

Beginners OnStage caters to boys and girls aged 5-7 years and is a wonderful introduction to the magical world of theatre! The fun and structured program includes a combination of drama, song and dance. All students perform on stage each semester in a short play and a selection of song and dance items.

The program offers young children a broad introduction to theatre. Our young students enjoy a variety of theatrical experiences without having to specialise or choose one form over another.

The CPCA has offered a dedicated program for 5-7 year olds since 2006.  The program has steadily grown in popularity and in December 2008 the program was officially launched under the Beginners OnStage name.   

Beginners OnStage is now offered at 19 venues throughout Melbourne.
