Welcome back to Beginners OnStage. As Term Four begins, all Beginners will be focusing on preparations for the end of year concert “TALK TO THE ANIMALS”. This wonderful theme gives way to a huge range of plays, songs and dances, and a host of fun costume opportunities. It’s sure to be a great night for performers and audiences alike.

Rehearsing at Home and in the Car
Everybody should now have their rehearsal CD. We suggest that parents and guardians encourage children to practice at home singing and dancing along with the CD. Similarly, children are asked practice their play, speaking their lines and all the chorus lines in a loud, clear voice. This at-home revision will help teachers maximise the use of rehearsal time this term.

Pre-Rehearsal Preparation
The following requests are based on feedback from Beginners OnStage teachers, with a view to a punctual, and orderly, commencement of weekly rehearsals.

It is important that Beginners OnStage students:
• change into rehearsal uniform and shoes prior to the commencement of the rehearsal;
• visit the toilet before the rehearsal;
• wait outside the rehearsal room with a parent/guardian until the arrival of the first teacher.;
• say goodbye to parent/guardian at the door, and enter the rehearsal room with the teacher at the rehearsal commencement time.

If you are late arriving for the rehearsal, we ask parents/guardians to please:
• still change your child into uniform and shoes before entering the rehearsal;
• still escort your child to the toilet before attending the rehearsal;
• send your child into the rehearsal to join the other students.
